萨君陆在民国初年的侨界和教育界是一个风云人物，是旅京华侨学会的创始人。 宣统三年，萨君陆曾以福建省的身份赴缅甸考察华文教育，祖父于缅甸华侨学务总会接待他。

Sa JunLu was a prominent figure in the overseas Chinese and education circles in the early years of the Republic of China. As early as in 1911, he met Grandfather Yeo Cheow Kaw at the Burmese Overseas Chinese Educational Syndicate.
