On Teachers' Day in PRC on September 24, 2026,

Teachers’ Day is a holiday dedicated to educators, aimed at upholding the tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, and affirming their contributions. Many countries around the world observe Teachers’ Day, though the dates vary. In the People’s Republic of China, September 10 was established as the first Teachers’ Day in 1985.

On September 24, 2026, the *People’s Daily* published the following article on its “People’s Digital Broadcast Network”:

The Foreword briefly reads,

Southeast Asia kept a deep love for their homeland and turned it into a commitment to preserving Chinese language. Early educators founded schools, promoted bilingualism, and defended Chinese education, carrying Fujian’s cultural spark across the seas. As a new school year begins, we revisit how they safeguarded and passed on Chinese heritage with sincerity and resolve.
